Responsibilities:
Industry leader of building products in need of a PROCESS CONTROLS ENGINEER in support of their chemical manufacturing operations near Helena, AR.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position will oversee automatic control systems and program safe, efficient, and productive automated processes.
The PROCESS CONTROLS ENGINEER will also assist in initial process control designs, specifying equipment, implementation of construction and new procedures.
Other functions and key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Process Control Narratives for day-to-day operations and testing procedures.
Oversee automatic control systems and program safe, efficient, and productive automated processes.
Repair, update, and troubleshoot automated systems using Ladder Logic Programming.
Develop electrical Bill of Materials (BOM's) and I/O lists.
Work with I&E personnel to identify needs to proposed systems and develop I/O lists with proper numbering schemes and specify specific model numbers for type of service/RFQ's.
Verify proper equipment has been delivered.
Assist in new design construction.
Test, evaluate, modify and calibrate/configure instruments and other equipment.
Write protocol and automation performance specifications for new equipment testing.
Complete workflows and process narratives for new or upgraded processes.
Identify root causes and proved detailed records of investigations as well as corrective actions.
Act as technical representative in HAZOP and LOPA activities supporting site Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Work collaboratively with Engineers, Safety, Production, Maintenance, and I&E personnel.
Attend design meetings to understand process requirements and offer suggestions/solutions.
Participate in EHS initiatives.
Job Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering required.
Chemical or Electrical Engineer preferred.
5
years' experience in Chemical Process Controls.
Understanding of Process Improvements.
Proficient in problem solving techniques including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
Capital project development, execution, and field implementation.
Proficient in programming automated process control systems (PLC, DCS, VFD, etc.
).
Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Ability to analyze large amounts of data in Excel.
Minimum travel required.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, management, and vendors.
Must be U.
S.
Citizen or Green Card holder.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project.
Salary Range:
$85k - $110k Bonus:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
